I love the idea of hanging a beautiful handmade quilt as wall art, and I’ve been thinking of this idea to cover an empty wall in my dining area for a while. (It’s like the woven wall hanging trend on a larger scale.) Quilts have a gorgeous artisanal quality and can be neutral or colourful, geometric or abstract. Read on to find a few of my favourite designs.
Toronto-based Lindsay Stead‘s latest Collection Quilts are made in collaboration with a group of quilters in rural Ontario. Linday’s graphic modern designs are rooted in this traditional technique, making for a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
